Gibberish – it’s not just for those with ADD anymore

Had I bet that million dollars mentioned on yesterday’s GQD, I’d be a rich fish!  I’ve got to start out with Trump’s endowing the Medal of Freedom on Rush Limbaugh.  Here’s what he said about the controversial radio host: “In recognition for all you have done for our nation (like further divide it – my comment), the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire……”

Here’s who the medal is intended for:  “individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of America, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Other recipients have been Rosa Parks (civil rights pioneer), Elie Wiesel (Nobel laureate & Holocaust survivor), and Mother Teresa, a saint.

Unfortunately, a Mother Teresa he is not!

Here’s the official gibberish from a Whitehouse news release:  “His radio show has been on the air for more than three decades and has had an incalculable effect on American politics and government. Limbaugh is a champion of the Constitution, advocate of civic engagement, and a committed patriot.”

And here’s some more gibberish on this same subject by other folks (from CNN):  Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan listed Limbaugh getting the medal as one of “the things that make America great.” Former White House staffer Sebastian Gorka called the President a “genius” for honoring Limbaugh with the award. And House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy called the honor “well-deserved“.

I’ve got to say that you humans have got a funny definition of patriot.  But if Rush Limbaugh can be accolated with the highest civilian award, maybe someday a fish will be able to receive such an honor.  Do ya think?  Stranger things will probably happen with this administration with time; especially if you don’t vote the lunatic out in November.

Why am I down on Mr. Limbaugh?  As you know, this is mostly an environmental blog, and good ol’ Rush has one of the best examples of environmental gibberish regarding climate change that my lateral line has ever felt.  As you read this article and contemplate on the graphic, this is the man that was just bestowed the highest honor an American civilian can receive from your president.

Here’s my humble fish’s perspective: You can’t be concerned for the environment in any way, shape, or form – and intellectually support Donald Trump.

Be forewarned, all that is mentioned above, and most of which is referenced below, does in some way or other affect the environment that we all rely on.  Somehow, you humans must get your shit together and act as one – for the good of all of us.

So, as I prognosticated yesterday, there was much more gibberish spewed about in president Trump’s State of the Union Address; here’s a list from FactCheck.org as long as my fin.
