I won’t say much here, I’ll leave this article speak for itself…let’s just say this hits fairly close to the hometown of my friend, “The Don Quixote of Fish Biologists”.
The following quote hints of the need for some form of psychological adjustment…be it individual or community: For Paradise, she hopes to see not only convictions made, but also a change in our community mentality.
Parents – in particular – need to step up and take charge of what’s going on in their households…which should actually be a home instead of a household.
Stuff like this seems to be happening more often with time…ask yourselves how did things get so out of hand? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the violence that is passed off as entertainment these days probably has some contribution.
If you’ve read some of my posts, you’ve heard me pontificate about the fast pace of life and life’s complexity – I contend that both of these are contributing to the moral decay that’s creeping into communities that you never would expect it to; and affecting kids at earlier ages. Sadly, there’s no place that something like this can’t happen.
