I promised a long time ago that I wouldn’t just focus on Trump and his administration with these Gibberish Quotes of the Day…so, as difficult as it is – I’m keeping my promise. Being that I’m a fish with an opinion, the purpose of these posts is to point out how the human race may not live up to your name – Homo sapiens, which means “the wise ones”. If you start paying attention, you’ll see that Republicans don’t have a lock on meaningless discourse masquerading as meaningful exchange. However, they have been exhibiting that behavior to an exceptionally high degree ever since November 2016. So, aside from Trump’s many COVID-related asinine statements, here’s one from an NFL coach regarding his resistance to wear a face mask properly (he could be seen on the sidelines wearing his mask much like a chinstrap).
Here’s the drivel by John Gruden, coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after their win over the New Orleans Saints a while back: “I’m doing my best. I’ve had the virus. I’m doing my best. I’m very sensitive about it … I’m calling plays. I just wanna communicate in these situations, and if I get fined, I’ll have to pay the fine, but I’m very sensitive about that and I apologize.“
You can see from that article, that there were several other coaching missteps that are only indicative of how too many of you humans aren’t capable of the discipline needed to head off the many social dilemmas confronting your species.
