The Don Quixote of Fish Biologists openly discussed the depression he experienced over the loss of the fishes he cares so much about, mostly those in Wyoming and Idaho where he lived early in his career. Unfortunately, he’s learned how you can run…but, you can’t hide; many of the salmon populations, particularly those in his backyard – the Yukon & Kuskokwim rivers – are on a downward slide.
He’s pitching a movie he has a vision for, one that he believes can be informative, entertaining, and strike an emotional chord with the viewer…hoping to get them to never see themselves, particularly their place in the environment, the same way ever again.
